Health Care

Every person deserves access to affordable, quality health care. Dr. Victor Forys’ brings needed medical experience and understanding to the Cook County Board and will work hard to ensure that the Cook County Hospital System provides great care in a cost effective manner.
 

Taxes

Working to eliminate waste and corruption, Victor will lead the fight to get rid of the oppressive Todd Stroger sales tax.
 

Government Accountability and Transparency

Victor will strive to create and maintain an unprecedented level of transparency within the Cook County Board, including budget information readily available online.
 

Economic Growth

In current economic conditions, it will take true leadership to both stabilize and grow Cook County's economy.  Victor will work with businesses to bring new industries to the region, stimulating our economy and stimulate job creation. Additionally, in order to support a transitioning workforce, Victor will support job training that focuses on new and growing industries.
 

Criminal Justice Reform

Work to expand the State's Attorney's Drug Abuse Program, RAP Drug School and the Cook County Drug Courts. As current demand for these services exceeds their capacity, their expansion will unclog the county's courts and free up resources that will enable the State's Attorney to focus on prosecution of violent criminals. Coordinate an effort with the county's judges, the State's Attorney, the Public Defender, and the Sheriff's Office to formulate new sentencing guidelines for non-violent offenders.
